About Bivi
Medication tracking should feel supportive, not demanding.
Bivi is a small, independent medication side-effect tracker made in Denmark by one human being (Sara Ringkow Petersen). It's designed especially with neurodivergent people in mind, but anyone who wants a calmer way to notice patterns can use it.

Why Bivi exists
Side effects can be difficult to remember and even harder to explain during a short appointment— especially when your brain helpfully goes blank the moment someone asks,
“So, how have you been?”
Traditional tracking tools often add another complicated routine. Bivi takes a different approach: quick check-ins, familiar words, and no guilt when life gets in the way.
The name
Bivi comes from the Danish word "bivirkning", meaning side effect, and "bi", meaning bee. The little bee (that's me!) keeps track alongside you and helps turn scattered experiences into something easier to discuss with your doctor. The bee pun was simply too good to leave unattended.
What guides the design
- Logging should take seconds, not become another task
- There are no streaks, punishments, or passive-aggressive missed-day warnings
- Your own familiar words are easier than an empty text box
- The information you enter should become genuinely useful
- The interface should remain calm, readable, and predictable
A helpful tool, not medical advice
Bivi helps you record and organise your own experiences. It doesn't diagnose conditions, recommend treatments, or replace a healthcare professional. Medication decisions should always be discussed with a qualified professional.
