Bivi stores only the information needed to provide the service. It doesn't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who's responsible for your data?
Bivi is an independent service made and operated by Sara Ringkow Petersen (the human being). Bivi is the data controller for personal data processed through the service.
What information Bivi processes
- Your email address, used to create and access your account
- Medication details you choose to enter, such as a name, dose, and schedule
- Your check-ins, including dose logs, side effects, severity, optional notes, and context
- Your preferences, such as display and accessibility settings
- Basic technical information needed to keep the service secure and working
Medication and side-effect information may be health data under the GDPR. You choose what to enter and can stop using Bivi at any time.
Why Bivi processes it
Bivi uses this information to let you record medication experiences, review your history, identify possible patterns, and prepare a report for conversations with your doctor. Account and technical information is also used to authenticate you, protect the service, and fix problems.
Legal basis
Bivi processes the information you provide to deliver the service you request. Because your logs can include health information, Bivi also relies on your explicit consent. You may withdraw that consent by deleting your data and account. Withdrawal doesn't affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Where information is stored
Account and app data is stored using Supabase, an open-source database and authentication provider. The public website is hosted by Netlify. These providers process limited information on Bivi's behalf to run the service. Bivi doesn't allow them to use your health information for their own advertising.
Who information is shared with
Bivi doesn't sell your information. It's shared only with service providers needed to operate Bivi, when required by law, or when you choose to export or show a report to someone. Bivi doesn't send your information to your doctor automatically.
How long information is kept
Your account information and logs are kept while your account is active. If you ask for deletion, Bivi will delete or anonymise the information unless a limited part must be kept to meet a legal obligation or resolve a security issue.
Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your information, or object to how it's used. You can edit or delete individual entries inside Bivi. You may also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).
Medical disclaimer
Bivi is a personal tracking tool, not a medical app, and cannot provide diagnosis or medical advice. Don't change or stop medication based only on Bivi. Speak with a qualified healthcare professional about medical decisions. For urgent help, contact local emergency services.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the updated date will change and Bivi will provide notice where appropriate.
